It's not classed as credit, bear in mind that if you stop paying at any time, your insurance will be cancelled.

Your credit record will have been checked, but only for address purposes. I know I used to panic when I saw all the checks that had been made, but they're not available for any other potential creditors to see.

Hubby and myself both in IVA's and both changed to new insurers during IVA with no probs at all - did it through well known confused website and whilst I've no clue if they credit checked us we certainly had no problem getting on monthly installments [:)]

A good friend of mine is currently also in IVA and he is looking for a new car insurance. The problem is that he will work in Germany for two years and due to this he needs a German car insurance. **Link removed**
He told me that it is not easy to find one because he is in IVA in the UK. Has someone here any ideas how this could work?

Hi
I wouldn't worry about paying for car insurance on a monthly basis. The policy is structured in such a way that you are nearly always running ahead of the actual cost of the insurance and yes whilst it is technically a credit agreement the liability is close to zero.

I pay for all my insurances monthly. Did new pet insurance yesterday, put in my bank details and it all went through straightaway.
