Posted - 08 February 2010 : 12:19:52 Here we are day 16 of no heating /hot water!
We were told the part had not been delivered on Saturday due to the wrong address being given. It now transpires the order was faxed without any address. So not only have SWALEC made another mistake they have also blatantly lied to us!
I have had 3 phonecalls from senior managers today all assuring me it will be fixed by end of tomorrow.
I have escalated the complaint to the ombudsman...so watch this space |

Posted - 14 February 2010 : 21:29:11 Suzie is never off the lead after she did a runner just after we got her!
Lloyd is fine, he's off the lead until we see another dog and then he stays still until his lead is on again (unless it's one of his friends when he goes off happily playing with them!). |

Posted - 14 February 2010 : 21:09:21 Blaze has behaviour problems - when she sees another dog she makes a strange screaming noise and tries to get to it. She's only trying to play, but obviously other owners don't realise that at first.
She was a rescue dog - she was bought for a disabled lady who later died, and her husband didn't want Blaze. She was fed on table scraps and hadn't been walked for nearly a year, hence she doesn't walk well and isn't a pleasure to take out. |

Posted - 14 February 2010 : 20:57:03 My little one's only fault is that he barks for England and drives us nuts!
The other one is a food thief, but as she was a rescue, we seem to think that she has had to fight for food in the past. She's not quite so bad now but I still wouldn't trust her! |

Posted - 14 February 2010 : 20:48:57 In the main it's the owners not the dogs but as with humans there are exceptions and some dogs bless em just can't be helped. |

Posted - 14 February 2010 : 20:44:00 Excactly right!
I also get annoyed when Rotties and Staffies get a bad name - it's not the dogs, it's the owners!
My ex next door but one neighbours used to have two Rotties and they were extremely well trained and lovable dogs. |

Posted - 14 February 2010 : 20:38:51 Well said Skippy, it's not the dog it's the owners, it's mostly the owners who need training not the dogs with a lot of unsocial behaviour in dogs.x |

Posted - 14 February 2010 : 20:29:43 I haven't caught anyone letting their dog do it outside yet - I'll be after them if I do! I don't blame the dogs, just their disgusting, unsociable owners. |

Posted - 14 February 2010 : 19:25:53 I could rant for England about dog mess! It's not nice and I'm afraid that it drives me nuts!
No way would my dogs do anything on the pavement (they both prefer grass!) and if they did, I would clear it up. |

Posted - 14 February 2010 : 19:18:16 wow that was good typing above, proves when Stirling's driving you shouldn't try and use your phone!
Julie I've sent you some links to look at, I start them when they're young normally, the downside is they wont' go anywhere else unless they're desperate so there are pros and cons.
When we go out we never take bags as they don't even 'p' up the road, however we go to MIL's caravan they're cross legged before we come home so not always idea, they do go eventually but if we're staying over getting them to go is a job in itself. Suits me though as it's very rare I do take them too far. Some of the links say they go on command, mine don't they just know where to go and where not to go if that makes sense. |

Posted - 14 February 2010 : 13:49:59 I'm fed up with the dogs around here - the pavement is always covered in mess and I'm sick of having to try and avoid it.
If people can't be bothered to clear up after their dogs they shouldn't have them - why should the rest of us have to put up with it?
Rant over!
On the subject of house descriptions apparently we have a feature fireplace (there's just a hole where the lovely old fireplace was taken out) and a patio (a lump of tatty old concrete outside the French windows) - how do they get away with it?!?! |

Posted - 14 February 2010 : 11:53:58 Our bitch makes me laugh - she stoops down and then usually lifts her left rear leg when she pee's!
I get so annoyed when I am walking my two and have to dodge the mess on the path - it's a nature reserve with loads of grassed areas for one thing, and why on earth can't they just clear it up? |

Posted - 14 February 2010 : 11:41:13 We have an English Bull Terrier and we put a post in one corner just were there is a grid and eventually with a bit of coaxing..and NO I didn't give a demo!...he now cocks his leg and does his biz there. Friends of ours said he was very clever knowing how to pee in the grid LOL |

Posted - 14 February 2010 : 11:25:55 My shed is a summer house according to estate agents |
| Andy1964 |
Posted - 14 February 2010 : 11:21:12 We refer to ours as the back yard with a bit of decking and always have, but when we put the house on the market a couple of years ago the back yard suddenly became a 'paved rear cortyard with raised decked area'
Estate agents have a great way with words. |

Posted - 14 February 2010 : 11:06:07 It's postage stamp size Lesley! We have a small grassed area and a patio area and that's about it! |
