Posted - 08 February 2010 : 16:46:51 We have had 2 letters off the IVA Watchdog based in Bournmouth regarding our IVA, was it mis-sold, were you advised properly etc,, I presume these go in the bin. Are they just another company trying to charge me for another solution? We are very happy with Melanies advice throughout & with all the team that work for her,, I presume again they just scour the insolency register for new IVA's they can target. So the bin it is. |

Posted - 13 February 2010 : 17:50:43 The positive thing is, by posting about these companies, more people are made aware of their ploy. |

Posted - 13 February 2010 : 11:11:07 Before I joined this forum I must have had about 5 or 6 letters from various firms but thankfully I stuck by the advice if it sounds too good to be true it probably is so I binned them.
Had one this morning from IVA Watchdog addressed to Mr/Mrs Luke, am I gender ambigious now?? Haha!!

Posted - 09 February 2010 : 23:43:36 They never speak to me either. I have had quite a few recently, they must be on a last ditch surge before someone pulls the plug on them. |

Posted - 08 February 2010 : 20:00:45 Woulnd't that be wonderful Mel?
thos eof us that choose an IVA doso with the intesnt of repaying what we can..... whether this is 100% or 20%
I found the experience intimidating and can completely undertand why some people take their option. I actually felt bullied!
To try to make money from someones misfortune is hoorendous.

Posted - 08 February 2010 : 19:29:31 These letters come from a company who have absolutely no clue what they are talking about, and select your personal information from a register that should not so publicly available.
Whenever I phone them up when one of my clients receives a letter, they do not even have the moral courage to take or return my calls. I feel sure that they will not be around for too much longer. |

Posted - 08 February 2010 : 19:23:12 Hi Mikepapa
you are right to be wary and well done you for 'in the bin it goes' These firms are really getting up my nose. I have been party to them myself and what an annoying bunch of miss informed numpty's. The people I spoke to were so out of it... they got nothing right in their advice.
As you say, If you're happy... then good stuff.

Posted - 08 February 2010 : 17:01:17 You're right Mike, they're a company trying to make a fast buck!
You could forward the letters to David Mond I know he's been working hard to get rid of these companies. |
