I've just checked my Experian credit score - more for curiosity of how bad it would be than anything else - and it's listed as 999, ie. the maximum excellent credit score! How can this be? I got my completion certificate in the post a few days ago (at least I think it's that, it says it is - I was e...

The Co-op let me have a savings account when I was a few months into my iva.

Bit concerned though as I think I've been overdrawn twice!

Yes, I'd say it's a good idea. The Co-op (if they're not one of your creditors obviously!) always come highly recommended on here - and I have their account and am happy with it. You can get the basic Cashminder account. Some banks, even if they're not a creditor, go through the insolvency register ...

Thanks all, it's such a relief! And thanks to all at Jones Giles for their hard work. Just 2 questions - will I start getting a bit of hassle again from the creditors - cos I'm sure I've read on here it can take a while for it to process and they end up thinking you're just defaulting? I know I've g...

Just called them - the person dealing with my case is in a meeting and will call me back in the next 15/20 minutes.

This doesn't sound great!

I haven't heard yet!

I'm going to go out for a walk and hopefully they will have called me by the time I get back. (If any of Mel's team are reading this, please don't think I'm being pushy and annoying, I'm just properly nervous!)

Thank you for all your kind words everybody.

10 minutes! 10 minutes!

I think it may be possible for me to squeeze a nervous collapse into that time!

Anyway, thanks everybody. Keep them crossed!

I haven’t posted about this before but in January I was offered a lump sum by family to clear my debts. Today is the day of my F&F offer meeting. It’s at midday. I have about £9k left of my IVA to go and I’m offering a lump of £10k – they should go for that right? My other worry is that they won’t b...

It doesn't seem to have any specific questions about financial history but I guess you never know. Knowing my luck I would get it and be rejected!

Thanks for your reply

Seen a job with an MP - which I have a history of doing so thinking of going for it. But would I pass this security standard? (It's all changed since my day haha!) From the job advert Upon appointment you will be required to comply with the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, undertaken by the Mem...
