I did like being able to say at work the other day in a conversation about overdrafts that I never go overdrawn, ever. Even three years after finishing I just don't need one, the rehab does work. Everyone at work thinks they need it, when you've done an IVA you realise differently.

It is difficult but I would suggest trying to sell any unwanted stuff on eBay or a car boot then wait till paint is on promotion somewhere like b&q or homebase, wilkinsons also sell a limited range of paint at reasonable prices.
It's amazing what old junk you can sell and people will buy on eBay.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

It's a great feeling to be finished, it's amazing how much you learn on the IVA about how to manage money/budget/make do.

It's nice to get some treats back when you have finished, I managed to get a new car and mortgage with the monthly savings

Paul, if it is a direct debit on your bank account for paypal you are guaranteed a full and IMMEDIATE refund from your bank. Basically they have to credit the money back from their own suspense account while they wait for paypal to pay it back. Many banks try to get out of this so it is useful to qu...

The reason that they add them is so that you can see if anyone else has tried to access your report as an anti fraud measure.

Don't worry these are not credit searches and only show up when you look, they just show that a monthly credit report was produced, lenders only see credit searches so these will in no way affect your credit score. The audit is nothing to worry about, just means an additional check was made for one ...

I am post IVA and may switch, the attitude of a bank to those in difficulty says a lot about it. Not sure I want to be with Lloyds if they are so socially irresponsible. May consider smile.

Lloyds get a monthly feed from experian for all account holders and use the information to complete a Monthly risk assessment. This doesn't bode well for those in an IVA if Lloyds take this stance as they will already know which accounts they are looking at culling.

The no using other banks could also be a blessing, planning money ahead and not being able to take out money on a whim, I know it's inconvenient but it might help in cutting back. Natwest seem to be reasonable otherwise. When you have 6 months banking behind you they may reconsider and you can alway...

Every month they get a feed from experian with each customers credit record and the IVA would show on that, a lot of banks do this now. Basically when they update the status of your account monthly they also check your credit file, the idea bing that they can see if a customer poses an increased risk.

I found out that some banks have a monthly link with Experian if you hold an account with them, I bank with lloyds and despite them not being a creditor and the account being open well before the IVA they were aware of it through their monthly feed from experian. They basically check your credit fil...

This isnt your issue, John Lewis need to contact their merchant bank which handles the credit card transactions and reclaim the £54 from RBS. It will be sat in a suspense account somewhere but that is their problem as you didn't ask for a card refund. Tell John Lewis to sort it out with the bank if ...
