I would like to thank Karol at Grant Thornton for her help in pushing for my certificate of completion, I got to speak to her on Monday 12th March regarding the delay in closing my case ( final payment made June 2011 ) and she assured me it would be closed and certificate received within 5 to 10 day...

Jonosi, I specifically asked about the completion certificate and removal from IVA register as this is what's needed to move on, at the end of the conversation I again asked Karol to confirm this would all be within the 5 to 10 days she quoted and she did. I just have to wait and see if they live up...

As I have been constantly lambasting Grant Thorntons customer services on this forum I feel it only fair to let everyone know that I have finally received a call from Karol. I have been informed that my case will be closed, name removed from IVA register & completion certificate sent within 5 to 10 ...

As I have lambasted GT's customer services on this forum I feel it only fair to inform fellow forum members that I have today received a phone call from Karol at GT, she has assured me my case will be closed, name removed from the IVA register and completion certificate sent within 5 to 10 days. Bec...

Loopfish, I have mentioned on previous posts that according to ICAEW guidance the IP's are entitled to charge a fee for time spent resolving the VAT issue on a case by case basis, additional fees have to be agreed by creditors by way of a variation meeting, I suspect this will compound and increase ...

Carl, I would continue pushing Grant Thornton as in my experience they will fob you off as long as possible, I have read a post on here where final payment was made in July 2011 and they have received their completion certificate. I have asked what their criteria is for clearing back log as i settle...

Kallis, I have received a post from Karol asking me to email as per her instructions, I already did this on 3rd March 2012. I have posted several threads on this forum which have been ignored by GT, I only received a reply when I started my own thread subject " Grant Thornton customer services " ask...

I have read on the forum that Grant Thornton are now closing cases, any ideas what criteria they are using for clearing the back log. There are people on the forum who have recently received their completion certificate who made final payment after I did .

I sent email to Karol as per the instructions on 5th March 2012 and have posted several threads on the forum and not received reply to either !! My email was quite critical of their customer services so has probably been put to the bottom of the pile or " lost " in cyberspace. I have also read that ...

Well done for getting a response from GT, it appears from this forum that you are one of the fortunate ones. There are a lot of people who are having problems with GT customer services, I have received no response from emails sent and posts on the forum, I keep reading that Karol will sort things ou...

Congratulations Paul, it's the final piece of the jigsaw and hopefully you can start to move on now. It does make me wonder what criteria Grant Thornton are using to clear the back log as my final payment was made in June 2011 and others on this forum as far back as March 2011 still waiting for thei...

Hi Phil, how long did it take for GT to call you after Karol said they would contact you on the 20th Feb ? I have major issues with their customer service and will be making a formal complaint to their regulators.

Jonosi, this appears to be how GT have dealt with this by keeping us in the dark and to say it had been on the forum is ridiculous and as you say not acceptable. There is an expert from GT on the forum called Karol who will apparently reply to emails and push your case if you put IVA Forum in the su...
