It's good to see some familiar faces and I hope everyone is doing OK. It's good to know I can still get good advice here and, if it comes to it, I'll let you know how I get on. I think it's a way off yet as, although Mum's estate is almost sorted, the DWP investigation could take a while as it's a b...

Thanks Ryan, we're waiting to find out whether the DWP has a claim on the estate for overpayment of pension credits. Once that's sorted I'll know what we can do and I'll be in touch.

I doubt if many people remember me now, but hi to anyone who does! I'm a bit out of touch and I'm after some advice. My Mum died last year and I stand to inherit some money, which may or may not be enough to pay off our mortgage. The mortgage is interest only so if we can't pay it in full we would h...

If I didn't have a car I'd either be so early I couldn't get into the office or else I'd be late and I don't live in the sticks!

I'm hoping Van Gaal can turn things around but I'm not sure. Looking at the players at United now they should be playing attractive football, not the dull long ball game they are playing at the moment.

We waited until my BR had dropped off my credit files and then opened a joint account without any problems (Nationwide FlexPlus account). I'd banked with Nationwide throughout my BR so we chose them rather than risk anyone else.

I disagree about having to notify the OR after 12 months - the wording changed shortly after I went bankrupt in 2007. I was on the original 12 month wording but people who went BR shortly after me had to notify the OR for the duration of the IPA. Banquo, you can also take a look at the sister BR sit...

Without knowing the full full details it's very difficult to say whether BR would be the right option for you and I agree with Foggy, it would be good to take advice from one of the smaller companies like McCambridge Duffy. If you do have to make a payment into an IPA you will pay all of your dispos...

Unfortunately sometimes a credit card is a necessity. When we went to the U.S. last year we needed one for car hire, petrol and the hotel.

Tesco was one of my creditors and I now have a credit card with them.
