She might change her mind if the Metacalm and the injections don't work.

I hope so, but I won't be offering again in a hurry!

She'd phoned me, so I thought it was a good time to mention it!

I do feel like that sometimes Julie, which is why I sometimes have to keep my mouth shut!

Metcalm is supposed to be good - my pet shop owner's dog has just been put on that and it seems to be doing him good.

Skippy I've sent you a link to a forum that I belong to where they discuss Metacam, and suggest some natural alternatives. Hope you don't mind.

wondering if anyone has any advice,
I have 8 cats ranging from 5 to 15, but one of them has started to wee and poo on my kitchen side, we think its our Wardrobe who is 15, but wwe don't know why she's doin it. We have to lock them all outside now because i just can't have that sort of thing goin on in my kitchen, i am at a loss of what to do. We have a black cat coming around our garden at the moment, and our cats seem scared of it, as they come bombing in the cat flap, they have broken one cat flap and almost broke the other. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

Hiya Hun

Wardrobe.... what a fab name. She's a grand old age and perhaps she's too scared to go out. do you havea litter tray down. if not maybe get one and see if she'l lgo in there. This might sound daft but if she's on the worktop and can see out of the window and see's this other cat... it could be a fear thing, she might be losing it uncontrolably.

8 cats eh? I thought I was bad with 4.

you could always ring the vet for their advice, at least that way the advice will be free.

Perhaps it is old age incontinence? I do agree that a litter tray would be a good thing to try out.

They are obviously terrified of this other cat, but I doubt you will be able to stop it coming into the garden.

I could ask my friend Marianne if you wanted me to cross post this on the forum I'm a member of as she's pretty much an expert on cats? I'll await your permission to cross post first x

I love the name Wardrobe!

I hope she's ok as it's horrible when you're worrying about them isn't it.

We always have a litter tray in the bathroom for Harry as he's kept in at night and he does use it occasionally, hopefully it might help your cats, especially if they are scared of the other cat.

We've always had a litter tray for our 2 as they're both generally in all day & night.

Hope Wardrobe is ok....fab name Poor thing must be spooked by the black cat

I took Dobby for his first walk this morning and it was raining hard, so I used an umbrella without a second thought..Unfortunatley Dobby had never seen me with an umbrella and took a major dislike to it! I ended up walking in the rain, no umbrella and soaking wet!

Guess he thinks if he has to get wet, then so do I
