I am 18mths into my IVA. Due to a change in circumstance I am financially far better off and am looking to clear my debt in the next 12mths.
I know I would get a certificate of completion. However my aim is to buy a property with my partner who's credit rating is excellent. Is the IVA status on my credit record, if cleared, going to get in the way?

Hi Basset...Wow if you can clear your IVA 100% trhen amazingly well done.

Your IVA is going to stay in your credit record for 6 years FROM THE DATE OF ACCEPTANCE.

you might find some resistance unti lthe 6 years is up... but its not set in stone. I hope that things go your way,

I doubt any high street lender would touch you until after the six year period - although your partner's credit rating won't be affected. Might be worth trying a mortgage broker instead

Helen I feel Helen's advice is right with the IVA being on your credit record for 6 years from the date of the acceptance of your IVA.

I hope you can clear your IVA 100% that would be a great result for all concerned. All the best.
