hi to all hope everyone is well was wondering does your name come off the register automatically at the finish date of iva or does your iva company have to inform them that its finished especially if you have taken payment breaks would it then drop off after them thanks

Hiya Hun

Wow, 1 mnth to go, Huge congrats from me.

I think your IVA will drop off the register anytime between a couple of weeks and maybe a month or so after finish. I would at least wait until you have your certificate of completion before worrying.

I think your ip somehow informs them or updates your records as completed so that it drops off anyway.

Not much use am I at this time in the morning, But again, well done and al lthe best for your debt free future.

Waited 6 weeks for my Certificate of Completion & then my name was removed from the Insolvency Register within a week of receiving that.

Good question millsy22!!
I have just finished my IVA (02.03.2010), and it hasn't dropped off the insolvency register (yet).

Be nice to not see it in the public domain anymore, just leaves the credit file, which only you and the credit reference agency see (assuming you are not trying to apply for credit), and it only remains on their for a further year (I think?)

The IVA drops off six years after it was first accepted.

Just make sure the defaults come off as well.

It actually drops off the Insolvency Register as soon as the Registrar is notified - no six year wait on this listing.

This might be a daft question? and sorry if it is, but my name isn't on the online register, ive had a search and can't find me anywhere? im 3 years in, surely i should be on there? i can find other people with the same name, but nothing that matches me? is it right or odd or just normal?

I wouldn't worry about this if I were you. Either your IP has failed to register your case, or more likely the Insolvency Service has entered your details incorrectly. You could highlight this to your IP, but in doing so you are going to find that you will probably end up being registered correctly. This is a matter for your IP to deal with, if they ever notice that you are not on the register.
