If I entered into an IVA, can I keep my current account with my bank, and would they and my employer need to know? Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

If your bank is one of your creditors then you do need to open a new account.

The Co-op comes highly recommended on here.

It would depend upon the industry in which you work as to whether or not your employer would need to know.

Hi Sandra, if your bank isn't one of your creditors you would be able to keep your account (HSBC do tend to close accounts post IVA though).

If your job isn't within the financial industry then I doubt your employer would want to know, to be exact it may be worth an anonymous phone call to the HR department? x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
