Just wondering if having had RBS as a creditor during our iva (now completed and past 6 yr anniversary) would this affect our ability to open an account with Natwest?

I understand they are all part of same group?

Tried opening account with Natwest and it's refered to another / higher department for approval, which the in branch account manager was surprised at.

Have cleaned up experian files so thus can't be the problem, but won't know till end of week if account is approved and worry in between.

Hi, not sure really but hope it works out positively for you as I've been with Natwest since I set up my IVA and have always been happy both with internet banking and in the local branch.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
