I have inheriting a property with a mortgage from my parent, probate to be finish in the next few weeks. In the past i had a iva which has been completed but still on my credit file as it not been 6 years.

The current mortgage is with halifax, i still live in the inherited property and had so all my life.

The property does have a another owner ( tenants in common ) a cousin.
They own 10% of the share of the property. 90% is the share i will inherit.

My question is will halifax allow me to replace my parent name or will they apply the "due-on-sale" clauses which i dont know if halifax have it included in this property mortgage and if so can that be triggered even if your the child. Are their any exceptions if your the child who inherited and currently living at the property.
