Feel gutted to be on this as I was off register months ago! Cannot see to complain and their blurb seems to suggest that theh do not remove.

The comments sections means anyone can write anything under the profile.
I so upsetting that although I knew the data was on the IR I knew that it would only be looked up if someone had a desire to find out. Now it's just there online all my personal details as well.
I really hope this website can be removed.
I was looking forward to the day where my names drops off the IR! Will it now be online forever?

It looks like this site was set up on the 26th February 2015 and is apparently authentic and valid until 25th December 2015.

This was under their certificate issues information:

This is awful - I feel for all of you. I'm not in my IVA any more but can 100% know how I would feel. Hope it's sorted soon.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

This is terrible, surely there should be some protection under the data protection laws.

So annoyed by this. I have contacted Google, ICO, The website itself and awaiting responses from all three.

Considering contacting the Advertising Standards Authority aswell as they have a remit that covers the accuracy of online advertisements. As the website is advertising as a Bankruptcy checker but showing people with IVA.

Anyone think they are worth a try?
Currently in an IVA. Not a Financial Professional, any comments expressed are just my opinion.

I'm not sure they will hand the power to do anything.

Why is the IR even online anyway? I understand the public have a to know but surely the info should be protected from software which extracts the data for who knows what purpose!
Are criminal convictions available like this online? Is there an online register of people who commit serious crimes? As far as I know there isn't but the info is available on request. A bit off topic but I'm sick of being treated like a criminal and now on a site which is publicly shaming me without a thought for the circumstances involved

As it stands - the Law states the IVA should be there - The information is excluded from the Data protection Act - as this is public infomation, as is the Electrol Roll. There as circumstances that will allow the infomtion to be deleted from public view (escaping domestic abuse)for example.

Most people dont know about the register - And the people who use the infomation for their own gains - will likely to continue to use despite any change in Law.

If you put you who name its google - its amazing who much information people will get from it . One of the negatives of the Web

Funnily enough, Ginger, the Electoral Roll is in the public domain, but you won't find an official copy online (apart from the edited version companies purchase and publish on a pay per view basis, which anybody can opt out of).
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

It is apparent that this site has been set up specifically to malign and pillory.

The fact that it encourages people to add unvetted comments and attach any available links relative to entries on the site basically means it`s open season for anyone to post what they want to about you.

I guess that whilst you come off the insolvency register after 6 years, you will be on this site for ever and a day.

What can anyone possibly gain by producing such a vindictive website???

This is why it would be difficult - even with change in Law - to remove this sort of information from websites. People that do this - clearly do it for their own gain and have little morals.
As i sure we all know once this infomation is made public it would be practically impossible to remove it. Thats my i am always amazed what people will put on Facebook - phone numbers, pictures of their Kids in bath etc etc

I am totally appalled too. Utterly dismayed. Words fail me. I think we need to make all of the debt companies aware of this and try and encourage the Insolvency Service to try and get this website taken down. I can't even see how they can profit from this or even make money from it. So depressing, I feel as though I've been completely shafted by this. They may not be doing anything illegal but it's totally unethical. Dreadful! As if being in an IVA wasn't tough enough!!
