closed accounts with balance after iva finished...

Hi, newbie who has been browsing for ages and you guys have helped me so much without you even knowing so thankyou and hello..I completed a joint Iva in feb 2015 which came of our credit reports yesterday, however my credit score has gone down and also 3 closed accounts which were in my Iva are showing with balances on them.. how can this be and is there anything i can do..

Contact those creditors with a copy of you completion letter and tell them to remove those balances!!

Hi Thinch - it sounds like the creditors havemn't updated their records to show your IVA is complete.

Check you are off the IVA register here:

https://www.insolvencydirect.bis.gov.uk/eiir/

then send your creditors your CC and get them to update their records accordingly, which should unlock things for you.

Thanks for that lisa, foggy.. sent off for the 3 credit reports and checked the register, definatley not on it, we got our certificate last august so onwards and upwards they say,, looks like i shall be following this up with the 2 companies concerned...
