If my IVA fails because of using an overdraft, is it possible to start over with different IP ?

Your IP cannot state what account you are eligible for! Myself and my husband had a full Barclays account complete with cheque book (no overdraft though) and we had no problems.

A lot of people have full accounts whilst in an IVA and I would suggest that whoever you spoke to at the bank didn't know what they were talking about.

I agree with LNE - try Nationwide - they tend to issue the account details stright away. Or as a temp measure a simple desposit account.

Barclays and Co-op are usually pretty good as well.
