Well think my IP needs a quite word as had to speak to barclaycard today to explain I was in a iva but it was to an overseas call centre so maybe they haven't had the news yet lol

Barclaycard are useless! I had the same thing as well. Hopefully Barclays Bank were ok.

It is a case of the information not filtering down to the call centres.

Yes kallis the bank were very understanding as we're Halifax when I went to ask why joint account had been closed they even said you should of come to see us first (but so long as you paid mortgage sod the rest) their words lol

Glad Barclays sorted you out but Halifax were a nightmare with me - a few years ago I had to go into a very large branch in the middle of Birmingham to sort out the credit card and the woman in there discussed it all in the middle of the room! I was not impressed and would not touch them again with a ten foot barge pole.

Good luck ant I'm with Nat West and when I needed a payment break and FJ told me to cancel DD then do a new one DD.I started to tell the lady in the bank my predicament.She said Shh,took me into a room and said "we don't need the whole bank knowing your problems".very nice of her I thought
