will a serving Detective Constable be in trouble with the Police Force if he gets a CCJ awarded against him.

I think CCJ's are frowned upon in the Force. Hopefully someone with first hand experience will comment shortly.

Possibly not depending upon the force. My IVA wasn't a problem.

I gather some forces don't like IVA's, but know many do accept them. However, an IVA demonstrates that you have recognised and addressed the problem ... a CCJ tells a different story! Just thinking out loud .....

An IVA is a controlled repayment plan but a CCJ could show other underlying problems. Perhaps a word with the Federation or union would be an idea. The police also have credit unions so perhaps this may be an option if the overall debt problems are manageable.
