Just a quick note to thank Cleardebt on the closure of my IVA. Last payment made on 22nd May, got my Completion Certificate on 18th June. A great turnaround and a benchmark that should be set for all other companies to be measured.

Indeed Cleardebt have been excellent from day 1. They were just the fit for me. Not too intrusive but available and supportive when needed. Had just 2 case workers over the 6 years, both brilliant.

As my IVA was 6 years, my Credit Report is already clear as I changed some default dates about 6 months ago.

PPI search is concluded. So just the Insolvency Register to come off. I have never ever checked if I am on in the first place, but will check it in 3 months times.

Thanks to the forum for your support, and for being a place to vent.

Paid back over £73k into my IVA (out of a £78k debt) so pretty happy with that. Got paid on Monday and it was great to have all the extra cash!!

Going to have a blowout for 6 months, and get some household stuff sorted. Then back to frugal living to pay off my mortgage. I have reset my counter, and when that gets to zero, I really will be debt free.

To anyone, at any stage of the journey, your day will come, and you will never feel better.

GL All, Mole.

I like their wine.

Unfortunately we booked a much waited holiday to Sousse, Tunisia with Thomsons next month. Just waiting to speak to someone about our options. We have waited for all these years so a little longer won't matter.

Thought I would check the insolvency register, and good news that I have now been removed from this!!! So guess I have been lucky with super speedy completion certificate and also coming off the register.

[PLease note: I never checked this before, so perhaps I was never on it?]
