Hi.. Have you tried the Coop? Also Metro Bank will be a good choice for you as that's what I had at the time of my iva. I know the basic Metro Bank account will let you have an account. The only thing you need to do is ensure you're on the electoral register as they do an address verification check (NOT a credit check).
Good luck!

Secure trust or ffree.

The former has a £12.50 per month charge though.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

I agree with Andy and I am surprised your IP firm did not advise you to do this earlier. You could try Yorkshire Bank if no luck with the other suggestions.

Hope you get sorted there are a few options out there.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

A cashplus account will get you an account number and sort code in a matter of minutes with an online application, there are no credit checks, there is a monthly fee but this link gives you free usage for 3 months and no monthly fee, and a free £5 with a £50 deposit you get your card about 5 days after application.

Both I and the mrs have one and we use it as our spending money account each month.

Also have you tired Calling up coop and asking for the forms for a basic cashminder account (can't do online).

I actually use my cashplus more than my coop as I can do everything I want on it online and across the road at the post office for paying in and out (no cheque book with it though).

I too am surprised your IVA provider didn't check you had one pre IVA.
My Blog details, the route I took before IVA, how I choose my firm, equity release advice (year 4-5), challenging the CRA's keeping IVA on credit file once gone from insolvency register

IVA ended August 2015. Would recommend McCambridge Duffy
