Holiday.
Our last payment was made in March, we know it will be some time before we receive our CC but I am scared to spend the extra cash each month, I have just booked a week away in October ,am I jumping the gun ?, as we are both in our late 70's it is nice to have something to look forward to at last. What do you think ?.

Hi and welcome,

No, you're not jumping the gun as you have finished - enjoy the holiday!!

Has your IP confirmed no further payments are due eg for any extension for equity etc?

If there's nothing else to do then personally I would start bothering them to close the case.

They have until September before a formal complaint would be considered/upheld but it really doesn't take that long - it should have been closed already.

As Lisa says, I would be worrying them for the certificate, if the IVA has, in fact, finished. Was equity addressed ?
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Cleardebt sent me a fifth year review saying no further monies were due, we rent so have no equity, they cancelled the direct debit, aperture say they have to do an in depth review so it maybe 10 months before we get the C C,s as the new I P has got an extension to The iva,s they acquired from cleardebt hence more waiting.

Are you sure the reason for the extension is purely the closure process and not something else, for example PPI?

As I suggested, your case should already be closed. I would ask them for a full explanation as to the delay and make a complaint.

Lisa knows her stuff, I would take her advice, get chasing them for closure and most of all, enjoy your holiday, you deserve it.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

We have signed deed of assignments for PPI and packaged bank accounts last year following cleardebt,s mass variation meeting. The letter we had from cleardebt in February said as we are coming to the end of our I V A they required three months bank statements p60,s etc these were sent then in April we got the letter which contained our 5th year review .Aperture told me in April it would take a few weeks to go into closure, five weeks later I was told it would take 6 to 8 weeks to get into closure. Then 6 months to complete.
