I am all for evangelising the rehabilitative effects of going through an IVA on your attitudes to things financial .... but things have gone to far for me and I need an intervention!

I have recently embarked on a new relationship with a member of the opposite sex ( From Mars, I am told). Now, when bringing her home for the first time I did the very gentlemanly (and British) thing and offered her a cup of tea.

Making the tea I asked, as you do, whether she took sugar. No she doesn't.

I was alarmed to realise that the first thought that flitted through my mind was, "Good. The sugar will last twice as long" !!

I looked into the mirror this morning and Rigsby was staring back at me !

And I assume you shared one teabag??!!

saving on sugar will give you more spare money for flowers, chocs etc

saying that, I have not had a valentine's gift and we are not going out. iva has proved money and love are not linked.

hope everything works out for you, with a bit of luck you could wean her off milk too...

pop the teabag on the radiator to get a 2nd cup out of it later on. (or 3rd if you let it stew long enough)

The better half and I actually went shopping in Tesco's today, and experience we haven't had for quite some years. We were still saying things were too expensive and "we can get that at Aldi so much cheaper". It is going to take a while before we go back there.

Good luck with your alien, don't forget not everything costs money, but the odd bunch of flowers or bar of choc is appreciated.
