Hi and welcome,

You will be hard pushed to find anyone who will lend you money whilst in an IVA, plus you would need your IP's permission to take out credit.

If you have equity in your property you may be able to get a secured loan so you could ask Shaun Vickery from Select if this is an option. His details are in the experts section.

Give Shaun a ring. You could probably raise enough to offer a full and final settlement and get out of the IVA. Three years may be tight on you but have a chat with him anyway.

Hi Lesley. It's entirely possible and we have been successful with a number of similar cases. Obviously it would depend on your other individual circumstances (income etc.) but certainly something to consider if you are keen to be out of the IVA.

Now that is called informed, explicit consent!
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.
