December was the month that all my last defaults, the IVA itself and CCJs dropped off my credit report.

I know this question gets asked a lot so here is my credit rating from the month before my IVA finished up to today.

This should only be seen as an indicator though as companies can apply different rules and have internal history no longer on the credit report.

November 2011 - 207
December 2011 - 207
January 2012 - 378
February 2012 - 392
March 2012 - 367
April 2012 - 367
May 2012 - 367
June 2012 - 367
July 2012 - 367
August 2012 - 370
September 2012 - 390
October 2012 - 431
November 2012 - 458
December 2012 - 846
Last Payment - November 2011 - Completion Certificate received 2 weeks after last payment, Removed from Insolvency Register within 4 weeks after last payment.

That looks great! Bet it feels so good [:D]

Can I ask did you do anything specific to rebuild your credit such as a credit card like the Vanquis or is this increase just natural?
1st payment Oct 2008, last payment Dec 2013. Certificate received March 2015 due to PPI claim.

Credit score on the record may be good but be warned that some companies (specifically banks) keep records beyond that date and will use their own criteria so you may not be as credit worthy as you think.

I applied for a Vanquis card in January after seeing my entry on the insolvency register removed which I got without a problem and I also did the creditbuilder thing with the cashplus card.

Apart from that nothing else and I did not make any attempt to fix any default dates or correct any entries (they were all correct in my case as it happens anyway) and just let them drop off.

Thanks for sharing ....I am looking forward to september 2013 when things begin to drop off....I have two defaults that are out by two months, and have been trying to get them to change them, but actually have now given up and thought what is two months...so this time next year I will be able to share the similar story hopefully !

To explain a bit more on those figures, the first big jump, Dec 2011 to Jan 2012 appears to be removal from the insolvency register. Then you see it climbing from September 2012 onwards as 2 or 3 defaults were dropping off each month then the last big jump was when my CCJ and the actual IVA were removed.

I'm hoping that my story will be the same. My IVA comes off my credit file on 24th Jan 2014, yeee ha! I have 3 bad accounts with defaults on. 2 of which are closed and 1 of which is still open. They all come off around the same time with the final one dropping off on valentines day! I can say though that my score in december 2013 was 213 and this month it has jumped up to 438 so it's promising. I got a vanquis card back in august and have been really good on it paying off the credit in full and not going near my credit limit.

Heres hoping that come march i can get a car loan as my 17yr old car is about to die. Good luck everyone.

I'm with you and desperately awaiting my credit files to tidy up. I've been writing to a few and it's only one left now with an incorrect default date which I wrote to yesterday. Good luck
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Hi all

I finished my IVA in oct 2013 via a F&F I check my credit score via noodle and creditcall with a score of 526, I've still go all my defaults on and all are wrong dated, I've just started writing to them after giving them a few months to catch up, will my credit score be the same on all 3 agencys?

Mine isn't the same and Noddle holds one creditor details different to the other two...on Noddle a default date is different to the other two so I have written to the creditor concerned informing them of this in the hope they'll update their record with Noddle.

I have checked all 3 and all 3 slightly different, just hoping I'm doing right in writing letters but hopefully next month will tell for me

Our 6 years is up in Feb, do we wait till then to check our files or is it worth looking now? If now and we notice something wrong, can we contact the companies before the 6 year date or do we have to wait? And which companies do we need to check with? Sorry for all the questions!

Has anyone any idea of car leasing after completion ?

Is it possible and is there a time limit after Iva completion before successfully getting a lease ?
