Having my weekly wobble! Meeting is on 1st Oct and I'm starting to worry. Feel like I just want it over with but scared at same time, you know? Just sorted out home insurance and hadn't realised they do credit check, should be ok this time but what about next year! Will this be the same for car insurance?! I know things couldn't have continued along the same path but starting to stress. SHort tempered with little ones and snapping at hubby. the meeting cant come soon enough. [V]

Firstly calm down, it's out of your hands and I'm sure your IP is doing all they can behind the scenes so to speak.

Credit checking for car/home insurance I feel most of the time is just to verify who you are, although I do know some companies don't like people in IVAs there are plenty that do, I've never had a problem.

It won't be long and each day is a day closer. Remember we're here to help support along the way so take it out on us not your loved ones. you don't have to live with us xx

This is not new Sonj77, you know it will pass. You are in a better position than a lot of people waiting for their creditors meeting. Sit down, have a cuppa and remember .... these things WILL pass.

Now ... breathe ......

I'll come live with you instead as I'm not a keen cook and could do with a Sunday lunch.

I haven't had Sunday Lunch cooked for me this century ! The ex is French -- didn't do roasts, so, if I want one, I cook it myself :-(

Sunday Roast. It is all about timing! At the end of the Formula 1 and before the live football at 4.
Never seem to get the gravy right either to runny or too thick!

Sonj77 ... I have every confidence in your IP, but at the same time fully understand the feelings you are experiencing. I remember that time so well and for me I had to keep busy ... Think I cleaned by cupboards and windows so many times while I waited for the result !

Try and relax a little ... But remember we are here for you when you need so e reassurrance x

Wobble - that's hilarious, I've had a three-day wobble which ended up with me rolling up in a ball and literally crying my eyes out after five years of my blessed IVA; this stuff can be scary and I know exactly where you are coming from. IVAs are a roller-coaster of emotions and if someone isn't in one they simply can't understand; blunt but true. How else can you explain your legs turning to jelly and your stomach erupting with butterflies every time the thought of a credit check rears its fluffy little head? Just remember that every day is a step closer to completion, whatever they throw in your way. A simple aphorism (some might say corny, but they are not a the mercy of The Almighty/Unreachable Mythical Supervisor), but one that might help. Stay strong, you are not a criminal or less worthy than someone unlucky enough not to be in the IVA club! Your gravy sounds awesome.

and that is why the forum is so valuable, we're all either on the journey or have been at some point. I remember the feelings well, even to this day I can get a little nervous about spending money despite the IVA being completed 18 months ago. Hang in there you will get there x
