Has anyone else had their debts bought by these people? They do worry me. They are the only creditors who to continue to send statements and they also voted against the 12 month variation in lieu of equity. They would have been happy to make me bankrupt. I will be so glad when I receive my completion certificate so I can be free of them (hopefully).

They bought several of my debts during my IVA and caused no ripples, even accepting the F&F.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

A lot of our debts were handed across to them and every 6 months we get a statement from them.

We do get statements from other creditors as well.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

They also bought some of my debts, the statements continue to come but no negative effects so far.

Think your post been hijacked by someone advertising. they deff got the wrong place as none of us here have got the money lol.

(Edit - offending post removed)

But back to your question, max recovery bought out some of my creditors, and ive never had any problems with them. They sent me notification at the begining and that was that. Hope all goes well .

We find the statements useful because we can see what has been paid to creditors.

I've had one of my debts bought by them too. Do you leave you alone once the iva is finished? I just worry that these companies will try their luck once things are finished.

They are playing things by the book and I wouldn't worry.

I am surprised to hear they rejected a variation as they are usually one of the most supportive of creditors. There is normally nothing to be worried about if they buy your debts.

Our latest statements received last week state "No interest was charged during the statement period."

I just find it strange that they are the only creditor that sends regular statements. I must have been unlucky that they voted against my variation but fortunately all the other creditors voted for so it did not matter, this is why I am wary of them.

I decided to contact Payplan for the first time since last payment and they confirmed it takes up to 3 months to issue the Completion Certificate.

Hubby has had a statement from them for a couple of his debts. Strange thing is both cards have had a debit taken out. Wonder why this would have been? Funny to see money taken out of my accounts instead of put im.

Yes my statement shows 2 debits as well they are only for £5 & £6 both in October 14 which I found rather odd. I really can't be bothered to ring them though. Hopefully I will soon be finished with them!

Many of my debts were sold on to Max Recovery. I received regular statements and once the IVA was finished never heard from them again.
