They are usually pretty quick at sending out completion but I think I'd give it another couple of weeks before getting on to them.

To be fair to McD - they are usually one of the best at closure.

Hi All. As you are aware I have not posted for some time due to other commitments. I do not like dipping in and out but hopefully I can commit a little more time going forward.
I must comment on this specific case and give an explanation of our policies regarding closures. Any IVA can be challenged within 28 days of approval and for that reason we do not close down full and final settlements until this time period has elapsed. It has never been an issue but we feel it to be best practice and four weeks is not long in the great scheme of things. In this case the variation was approved on the 9th June and once the four week period elapsed the file was transferred to finance to pay final dividends. This is being done and the certificate will usually follow within 7-14 days. Therefore 6 weeks is our normal timeframe from closure of a full and final settlement which I think is a lot better than the many other firms.
MG12 contacted us in April asking for a meeting of creditors to be called offering payments to date as full and final settlement. Within eight weeks that had been agreed and this included the five week notice we gave to creditors. Many firms would not have even started to draft a variation within this timeframe and some would have refused to propose one. Again it is our policy to draft variations as quick as possible from the date of request and certainly within the terms and conditions and we are proud that we do this.
Our policies may not be perfect but they have stood us well for the [almost] eighteen years that I worked here. Harassing or annoying us will certainly not lead us to change these policies and while it may work with other firms it will certainly be neither needed nor recommended with ourselves.
Welcome back Michael - you have been sorely missed!
