I had a cheque paid to my old ip 2 years ago from a ppi payment.the cheque was cashed by a 3rd party called consumer advisory services ltd..They have not passed on the money as my old ip said they never recieved the cheque.And now cant get hold of any company...£6915 just vanished.what can i do
Query why the bank paid out to a third party -- was the cheque endorsed by your IP ? Who was the cheque actually made out to ? Report it to the police as theft, if no answers are forthcoming.

Mansall has made a few posts in the past but no idea as to what has happened with the cheque. I would suggest that he takes some legal advice.

The cheque was made payable to money debt and credit ltd..santander have confirmed this i have a copy of the cheque..money debt and credit have said today that they have no link to consumer advisory services ltd..And are still saying they never recieved the cheque.santander wont do anything else as they paid out to the right people its up to me to resolve..
They ivestigated the matter and said they sent it to mdc as per insolvency register address..
They have also said that barclays have said that consumer advice services were an agent acting for mdc..but mdc are saying they werent..
As the cheque was made payable to mdc how has consumer advisory services managed to cash it.the only way i would of thought is if they were agents for mdc
No cheque wasnt endorsed.infact there is no signatures or even an account number on the back of the cheque.just random numbers and cashed out barclays.should santander not of cleared this..are they at fault
The Bank should be able to provide details of exactly what bank account the cheque was cashed. Tell them fraud has occurred and they need to open a fraud inquiry. Tell your old IP that you are doing the same and they should treble check their records.
Got account number and sort code of where cheque was cashed..santander are still saying they followed the correct procedures.but clearly they havent..i asked santander how the cheque could of been cashed when it wasnt endorsed,they couldnt comment they said
