Hello
I currently have a iva which ends in Febuary 2013. Both my wife and I work and my annual income and expenditure is based on both of our wages. My wife has found out that she may be pregnant and obviously will be out of work for some time leaving us with just my income. Is there a clause in an iva which allows for this? Help appeciated!
Regards

Andy Davie

It is a common occurance, and most couples work through this with a little adjusting and juggling along the way. With a sensible and sympathetic IP on your side, a short payment break followed by perhaps an overall reduction in payments ought to do the trick.
