she strikes again!!

9.30pm last night phone rings for 3rd time that day from MIL so we ignore it (not unusual) and an answerphone message is left;

I'm being poisoned by your wife for my money and I'm going to the Police.

Referring to me again, bearing it mind it's October since I've seen the woman as I refuse to go as I'm always referred to as 'the tramp' (even to my face). Now yes some of this is mental illness and some just pure evil, it's hard to know which is which with her. Another peaceful family evening shattered in our household and this incident got me thinking again far too much. I've been suffering a bit and been in a dark lonely place of late and finally got some medication (herbal) sorted and it appears to be working and she drops this in the mix. That woman! I feel like changing my phone number so she can't ring again and only giving her hubby's work phone number not his private mobile and hopefully I'll then never then have to speak to her or hear her voice ever again but then being a softie think but what if it's an emergency and she does need us etc., etc.,

I'm not a horrible person and it bothers me deeply who she is spouting all this rubbish too as I think some may believe it? I was going to Crufts tomorrow but now not sure whether to go or not as with all this on my mind again it's hard for me to concentrate and enjoy my day.

Thanks for listening guys, I realise there is nothing anyone can say or do to make it better but by typing it out it gets it off my chest. xx

I'm so sorry to hear that you are having problems with MIL again, especially when you are feeling so low yourself.

I remember back to when hubby's kids were little and their mother used to be constantly on the phone about them and I used to jump every time it rang. I was a nervous wreck!

I would change the number - at least that way she can only leave messages on hubby's phone and at least you can relax then.

At least you know that if she did go to the police they would see she had problems and that she was talking a load of rubbish.

I know it's easy for me to say, but just remember she hasn't a clue what she is doing half the time, don't let it get to you.

Go to Crufts and have a wonderful time, don't let her stop you having a day out.

Buckle your seat belt Dorothy, 'cos Kansas is going bye bye.

27 down, 33 to go.

Lesley, it must be really horrible for you.
Hubby's mum calls me names but only to him. Thankfully i have never met her and quite honestly, never want to. She has no interest in meeting her grandson either and hes nearly 7. We have been together nearly 9 years, she doesnt know me and wouldnt if she fell over me but yet thinks its ok to judge.

Just try to ignore her.

Enjoy your day out xxx

You go and have a great time Lesley.

Lisa - how dreadful for you. My parents were like that with my hubby at first as we were both still married to others when we met.

He can do no wrong now, they think he is wonderful.

I've been and I'm back complete with blisters, I had forgotten what an atmosphere (for me) it is at Crufts, as I haven't been since entering into an IVA....my friends dog became a champion (won 3 titles) yesterday at Crufts and what a place to do it...we had to leave before the group placing so unsure at the minute how that went but will find out today I'm sure....oh it makes me want to start showing again but I know it's not possible maybe in another 3 years when my IVA is finished.

I also visited every trade stand there and spent my £5.00 (all I had) wisely. Collected lots of freebies though!

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.

Thanks girls.

My MIL has lost the plot again by the looks of it as I've received an email from her sister who lives in Brighton asking me what she is on about as apparently there is a plague in the village where she lives and she doesn't have long to live and she's paralysed due to the plague, well at least I know it's not me trying to kill her but on a serious note, hubby will go and assess the situation as I'm still refusing to go and get her sectioned for the 4th time in the last 12 months and wait for them to discharge her in a couple of weeks and wait for it to happen again..... Sorry for moaning x

Moan as much as you like Lesley!

She really does need some serious help, but at least you know it's not just you she is having a go at.

I don't blame you at all for not having anything to do with her, it would be nice if you could get this sorted once and for all. She is only going to get worse by the sounds of it.

Sorry Lesley, just caught up with this.

Geez your MIL is a one eh? I know she has some mental issues but what a strain this must be for you and so unfair!

Hopefully she'll get some help and leave you alone.

I'm so glad you went to Crufts and wow! well done to your friend and dog

Jan it's an amazing day but it's stirred up the 'I want to show' feelings inside me and made me a bit fed up this morning as I know I can't afford to show! Next year we've planned to go for two days and stay over as we've got friends showing in Gundog and Pastoral on the Friday and the Saturday. I agreed but in reality I doubt I'll make it....one day I'll be back there showing providing I can get one to qualify first I guess! x
