Hi All, just wanted to share some news to let everyone know that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

My IVA ended in Jan 2012 and I received my completion certificate in Sept 2013. I wanted to buy my first house but was concerned as to whether I would be able to obtain a mortgage.

I contacted Zebra Money, as recommended in this forum, and I was successful in obtaining a mortgage with a high-street lender, with the help of Zebra Money.

I cannot recommend Zebra Money enough, my mortgage advisor, Mike, worked with me in ensuring my credit files were all clear and advising me on my options. The process was completely hassle-free.

If you have been in an IVA then I am pleased to say that you can get on with your life afterwards. I completed contracts on my new house yesterday.

I best go now, there's a paint brush and few tins of paint with my name on it.... #128515;

Great post, James, and well done to Zebra Money ( represented by Ryan on the forum).

Best of luck in the new house and with your debt free (apart from the mortgage) future :-)

Onward and Upward.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

We're just in the process of changing mortgage companies & Mike from Zebra is dealing with that for us. He is fantastic! Each time I've emailed him (and there's been numerous times!) he has replied straight away. He has manged to get us a deal with a high street bank which will save us £300+ a month[:D]Just doing all the paperwork now so hopefully we will have everything signed & sealed for beginning of August.
Love this debt free life!! [:)][:)]
