Hiya Everyone!

I've found this forum to be a great support through what have been the hardest and darkest times in my life.
However, my IVA is paid off now through early F&F settlement, I have my certificate of completion now... I'm just wondering what happens next?
Do i have to do anything else? It should come off my credit report in July 2017, but i'm just wondering, in the meantime, what can i do now?
What has everyone else done after the IVA is completed? Obviously not get into debt again!! :-P
Seems like a silly question as i've read through the forums time and time again, but haven't seen anyone's journey afterwards! What did you all do?
Any advice for a newly debt free person? lol

Thanks! :-)
Full and Final Settlement Accepted 10/03/2014
Certificate Of Completion 3/4/2014!
I Did It!! :-)

We were in similar position in as far as we had three years before it dropped off !

We saved 50% of our IVA payment each month, and used the other 50% to do the house up or to have a weekend away etc.

Certainly don't attempt to apply for credit ...you will be turned away but a footprint will be left on your credit record under searches. Saying that I used Moneybarn to buy a new car ... They are specialists who loan to people with bad credit ..however they are a reputable firm who understand what an iva is.

If you need to replace things then save for it !

Best of all continue to budget and live life debt free!

i tried to have a look on experian the other day and couldn't view my file, so still have no idea what my credit file looks like! when i rang she said she'd void my account and i could set a new one up in a few days, but think i'll let the dust settle for a few months so everyone can update their records, then save save save! i'm going to continue putting my IVA payment aside for rainy days! not attempting any kind of credit! i'm happy being debt free right now! just wanted to see what the file looks like so i can keep seeing it improve, but think i'll leave that be for now at least! :-)
