Hi all

Just checked my Noddle report as I do from time to time and noticed a new default has been put on...

Marlin Financial - who bought our NRAM loan - have added a default starting in January 2014 - when our IVA started in August 2008!

Are they allowed to do this? and shouldn't the default they've added by dated August 2006?

During the course of the IVA creditors ( especially debt buyers) will put all sorts of defaults of various dates. Once the IVA has completed and you have your certificate you can ask them to date them correctly, so that they drop off with the IVA.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Thanks Foggy :) I didn't realise they could just add brand new ones as Northern Rock who they bought the loan off isn't even shown at all on my Noddle report. Was surprised they'd bother now it's 5 and a half years late but like you say, will deal with it when we have our certificate.
