How do I reinstate an IVA ?

how do I reinstate an iva? I have problems making payments. I don t have a cheque book and was sending cheques from a 3rd party. the last one I sent was returned as they don t except 3rd cheques anymore. the problem now is I have to ring the payment line and its hard to get through, I m a lorry driver and work long hours and don t get a chance to ring and get through to them. I m missed payments caught up got behind again got behind again etc etc now its been revoked - how do I reinstate it ? is it possible?

If the IVA has not been failed you can get a variation to forgive the arrears and restart the arrangement. You should also try and set up a direct debit or standing order or if you only have a debit card I believe there is a continuos authority for these.

You need to speak to your IP and make sure they do not fail the IVA but if it has been failed you can propose another one if you wish.

Do you have a bank account ? If so the easiest method is direct debit or standing order on pay day or day after ... That way you will never fall behind in your payments. Give them a call and negotiate what you can to have a second chance .

Why don't they accept third party cheques Greg, and how many payments are you in arrears?
