Hi Mary and welcome to the forum

I think that Ryan is on holiday at the moment and maybe not looking into the forum. You could try Shaun Vickery at the Select Partnership, who is another one of our forum experts who specialises in mortgages.

Hi Mary and welcome to the forum. I'm afraid to say that it's highly unlikely that you'd be able to achieve this. Firstly there are very few lenders who would entertain this and you will certainly pay a premium (and require a significant deposit) for any who would. In addition your IP would also need to agree, which may be unlikely?
Specialist Mortgage Advisers. Highly Commended at the British Mortgage Awards.

For individual, confidential mortgage advice see my details under the IVA Experts or go to http://clients.theselectpartnership.co.uk/

Hi Shaun

I am in a IVA and my wife isn't. We met when I was already in trouble with debt. She manages her debts very well. She has secured funds towards a deposit from her family but the problem is I won't be allowed to borrow with her just as you've stated above.

Our short background is; we've been together since 2007, had our son in 2008, married in 2012. My IVA started in Sept 2010. There is no financial link between us. She's frustrated she's not made the progress she'd have liked. Do you think shared ownership under her would be an option if she qualifies? Thanks
*IVA started Sept 2010
*Last Payment Taken August 2015
*Completion Certificate Issued November 2015
