I am not with your company Melanie but you are such an inspiration in making me feel that being in an IVA is not the end of the world and I am doing the right thing to combat my debts. Along with the other experts on here I feel hopeful for the first time in a lot of years. I am not a very regular poster but come to the site most nights and glean all the advice I can.

Keep up the good work and many thanks.

Bless you - that is so kind of you to take time to post on the forum Robbieboy.

I am glad that you find the forum helpful, and posts like this do inspire me also to continue to help people where I can. It is good to see that even with 47 months to go, you still can see the benefits an IVA has brought to you.

Did you find the forum after you had entered into your IVA?

Thanks for your reply Melanie, i found the forum just as I was waiting for my meeting as I was desperate to know if I had made a good choice with my IVA company and it really helped me in those dark days of the unknown! I am sure that the posters who come here asking for advice before going ahead must be given a massive boost because I took the step without any knowledge at all, other than I knew it was an available solution but a very daunting one nonetheless.

I totally agree with you Robbieboy. As an aside, Mel I wonder if you can email me as I lost your email address and us "Taskerites" should stick together.
Life after IVA is wonderful.

Could not agree more, Mel and her team have been brilliant guiding us through our IVA, we are almost there now with just 9 payments left (cant believe its now in single figures)and it has been so much easier with the support Mel and her team have given us, especially when our IVA was being set up and we didnt know which way to turn, absolutely brilliant company to deal with and for anyone looking at an IVA then get in touch with them, it could be the best call you ever made, thanks mel for all your support and advice.

Tasker Milward as-now-is by any chance?
In the days when it was the girls's school?

Yes - Taskers Grammar School for Girls. I was there from 1976 until 1981 - although in 1978 it merged with the boys Grammar School to become Tasker-Milward.

You're not another alumni are you?

No but I know the area very well and love it even though it is so long since I left, and a friend of mine was probably in the same year as you at that school.
