About to consider an IVA. Are there any particular creditors who are NOT likely to agree to an IVA. I dont know much about IVA's but this forum has been great reading. Now just scared creditors may not agree to an IVA?

Hi Katy, welcome to the forum.

Best to seek advice from recommended firms on www.iva.com who will go through a detailed look at your circumstances. If they decide IVA is the best route it's rare creditors reject a proposal that us actually in their interest. Good luck and keep us posted on how things go.

There are some creditors that can be difficult but your IP will advise you of these before any proposals are circulated. It is rare for IVAs to get rejected so get some free advice from an IP firm.

Hi and welcome to the forum. As you've already found there's a wealth of information on the forum and you can talk to the experts free of charge.

Always worth talking in depth to 2 or 3 before making any decision.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

In my experience there are very few creditors who reject IVAs these days in principle, although of course the proposals do have to demonstrate that the applicant is putting their best feet forwards and making the best offer possible. Failure to do this may result in rejection from any creditors, if the job has not been done properly.
