Cannot believe I only have 2 years left - It's going in really quick and it's taught me such a great lesson, when this is over, I will never go back to Credit again. Luckily I don't plan to buy a property - happy to rent!! If I don't have the cash then I don't buy it!!!
Just waiting on the results of my 3rd review but the last 3 years have been trouble free and I hope the next 2 are the same.

Well over half way suzie --- yaaaayyy !! :-)

Looking back the time does pass quickly for the most part, and far better looked at as smaller chunks.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Just another point - has anyone managed to change Mobile Contract when in an IVA? I am coming up the end of my 24 months one with 02, I've been with 02 for years but would quite like to swap to Three but worried about passing any credit check?

I think you may struggle to get a contract phone from another supplier during an IVA

It is worth though finding the best deal you can and haggling with O2, they probably don't know that you can't switch away easily and will want to retain you, so will hopefully match the deal

Hi Susieq73
I have changed mobile contracts twice. Joined t- mobile 3 months into my IVA then three after 2.5 years. You may be declined if you go for the phone straight away without taking out a sim only rolling contract. Even got an iPad on 2 occasions from t-mobile plus their orange home broadband which I had previously been declined before I joined them. It takes long to gain their trust but i have taken out 7 new credit agreements that way since going into the IVA in 2010. I hope that will help when all the defaults drop off.

Hope this helps.
*IVA started Sept 2010
*Last Payment Taken August 2015
*Completion Certificate Issued November 2015

Hi,

Thanks yes it does - I will probably stick with 02 even though its not as a good a deal to upgrade as I have been with them for over 10 years and upgraded a year into my IVA with them.

Hi well done susieq73.

With regards to mobile phones, i managed to change my wifes contract from 02 to T mobile.

I applied online for her phone and everything went really well.

Regards

Baldy.
