Final variation meeting has been adjourned at request of creditors to allow them more time to lodge their votes. Under what circumstances would this take place as this is holding up finalising the Iva

It is not uncommon for some variations to be adjourned if creditors did not receive the proposals or have no time to vote. You should be fine.

There are many reasons which could lead to a request for an adjournment, but this cannot delay matters for more than 14 days, so hopefully your closure will not take too much longer.
