Nearly 4 months in and still think IVA was best route!!
But finding it hard as always have minimal money come the last week!!!!
It's only me and two dogs so I can cope, but could only imagine what it would be like with a family!

The budget would have been adjusted if you had more mouths to feed, but payments should always be affordable - so if you are struggling no harm in asking your IP if they could look at reducing them a little to make things easier for you.

It does get easier as frugal living becomes second nature --- but there will still be ups and downs --- you are already 5% through :-)
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I hope it gets easier! I'm only a month into mine and after unexpected cambelt repair and double council tax all my budget has gone to pot! Now facing 19 yr old sons bday on Sat and he's got to wait until payday!
Still, I'm amazed at how little I can actually manage on and next month will be better.
I'm sure you'll do fine Iechyd da....good luck on your journey! :)

Thanks Mel but I think I'd rather get through 12 months and then speak to IP. Hopefully it's just getting used to spending budget properly!

Foggy - too true. I live by percentages. 10 weeks and I'm 10% through :)

Ruthlyn - I'm sure it does!! I admire people bringing up a family through this!
I'm sure your son understands and will love whatever you get him!!
Sofa law with cambelt, my heating doesn't work but it's summer so that on the back burner!
Onwards and upwards
Keep smiling

You should never be scared of speaking to your IP. We are put on this planet to help our clients, and our doors should always be open with a welcoming smile!
