Hi Rachel, yes two in the same household can run IVA's at the same time -- indeed many couples do, especially if they have joint debts.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Yes, both me and my husband have IVA's, we have individual and joint debts and they are stand alone IVA's - are not interlocking but our expenditure is based on how much of the household income we bring in and this affects our disposable income. These are not our figures but, for example, if husband earns £50k and wife earns £30k, husband would take on 62.5% of expenditure in accordance with his share of income (£50k is 62.5% of joint income of £80k). So if mortgage was £800 per month, husband's mortgage expenditure would be £500 and wife's would be £300 and this calculation would be applied to all joint household expenditure to give a different disposable income for each person.
