back in 2011 I entered into an IVA with Santander for £300 it lasted 3months and is now paid off but now because of it I am not able to apply for a mortgage, apart from asking them to remove this from my credit report (which I have done) is there anything else I can try?

Hi. This doesn't sound like an IVA ..more likely an informal arrangement to repay a debt. However, it has resulted in a default being registered, which will not be removed until 2017. If Santander do not remove it there is little you can do.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Agree with foggy. .. you need to ascertain if it was an iva. .. If the debt was that small then unlikely.

Your credit record needs to be clear of all defaults and mention of non payments before any mortgage company will consider you for a mortgage.

We have two mortgage experts on the forum Ryan and Shaun whose details can be found on the left under ask the experts

There is a solution for everyone .... Just need to stay positive !
