Well I completed my IVA May 2013 and just over a year later I can tell you life is good! Anyone going down the IVA route should know it is a long slog but worth it in the end! My credit record is now pristine (I got myself a credit card 6 months ago with a VERY low limit that I use for fuel.... and pay off in full every month) and have a mortgage at a very reasonable rate.

All of a sudden life looks good. I have learnt that the only things you really need credit for are big purchases like a house or car - everything else you just save up until you can afford to buy it. The team at Freeman Jones were amazing for me, I had my certificate of completion in around 4 weeks of finishing my IVA and they were always on hand to help.

To all those still battling to be debt free - If I can do it (and emerge a better person where finances are concerned), then you can - trust me it is well worth the effort!
