My IP has increased my payments now that my benefits have increased. Is this permitted ?

Iam in an IVA and receipt of benefits, my benefits have increased due to diagnosis of MS my IP has reviewed annually and increased my monthly payments by £89 per month, is this permitted/ in line with protocols?

Your income ( from whatever source) has increased (presumably by £178). So yes, the payment should be increased.

However, they should also take into account any extra expenditure resulting from the new diagnosis and deduct that so they only increase by 50% of the net increase.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

If you have been awarded disability benefits you could argue that these should be excluded so your surplus will not have increased.
