My partner is in an IVA and he has been made redundant. He has gotten a new job and the IVA company has said he needs to pay £4000, as he doesn't have any redundancy pay left. He is still in a 'holiday period'. They said they would only take it if was available upon starting a new job, but there was nothing left from when he started the new job as he had to use it. What do we do next ?

Your partner should have been allowed to retain sufficient living expenses until he found a job. Anything left over when he found work could be taken as a windfall so perhaps this is what the IP wants. If the money is gone and there is a shortfall you may need a variation and creditors could look for an extension to the IVA. Ask your IP where they got their figure from.
