Hi

We have just received the chairman's report to sign and return following the acceptance of our IVA last week. It shows which creditors voted for and against and which creditors didn't vote at all. my husband didn't have any creditors which didn't vote but I had 6 creditors out of 15 who didn't vote, they were mainly catalogue companies but overall owed on them all was £4,700. On the report against each of their record it states invalid/no proxy and the amount owed. What happens to this debt, it is still counted in the overall debt owed figure so will those creditors still be part of the IVA and receive the 40p in the pound back which is the amount agreed to be paid back as part of the IVA. Many thanks PAULA xx

Hi -- yes, they are all bound by the IVA and will get their share providing they submit an agreed claim. Surprisingly some creditors don't even claim, preferring, I guess, just to write it off. Any monies not claimed will be shared out among the other creditors.

Mine were all verified within the first 12 months -- but I have seen instances where they weren't dealt with until nearing completion.

The meeting was on friday 12th september and I received the report on Wednesday 17th September, they normally state within 4 working days. Yes the report detailed any modifications which were agreed at the time of the meeting. Are you expecting your report any time?
