So after 6 years in my IVA due to no equity and then 14 months waiting for DFD to do their stuff to get creditors to approve the variation for the ongoing PPI saga (meeting was end of May) I finally received my CC certificate yesterday. I had emailed DFD two weeks ago as I had heard nothing and was promised CC shortly and IT HAS ARRIVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't put my finger on how I feel - still can't quite believe it - it's been a huge part of my life for over 7 years but once my name has been removed from the insolvency register (up to 3 months) I think I will start to believe it
DFD get a lot of stick with good reason especially with EIF but I am here at the end eventually - I would like to thank everyone on this forum
and wish everyone good luck on your journeys ...
All paid up on 16th July 2013 - now the waiting game ....

Congratulations Joowoo.

DFD are not alone in being a reasonable firm knocked sideways and then down the pan by Paymex and then PPI. It seems to be the larger firms which have been unable, or unwilling, to adapt.

Good news...but just a little advice..don't take these credit scores too literally...we all been they're with the 900 plus figures with Experian.

That isn't what you think it means, you need to put in the work to the lenders to restore your credit.Credit building takes time.

As TzeKin rightly says, the credit score means zip ! Future lenders apply their own criteria.

Congratulations and well done. As the others say, don't get hung up on credit scores just enjoy being debt free and the extra money you now have each month.
Life after IVA is wonderful.
