Hi I'm new on here just wondered if there are any mortgage firms that would do a remortgage as Ive just gone past month 54 where I have to try and release equity in my house. There is roughly 50K equity. Been told by my IVA supervisor that I won't find anyone so I will have to continue until Apr2017 then I will walk away debt free. If I sell now they said it would cost me a fortune to pay off and wouldn't give me a figure HELP!!!
That sounds right - if you can continue for another 12 months - it will be a lot cheaper.
Remember you will owe ALL the original debt plus fees until the IVA is complete. So selling early will release all the equity.
Is you date of IVA completion correct as April 2017 is 2.5 years away ???

You could consider a secured loan which would finish the IVA now. This is an alternative to the remortgage or extension and once the IVA is completed you could then sell if you wished.
It may be better for you to just wait it out for the six years but if this is not an option contact Shaun Vickery and hopefully he can help. His details are in the 'ask the experts' section.
It is highly unlikely you will get a remortgage but you may qualify for a loan.
