My husband and I have recently completed our IVA after 6 long years. We currently own our house (mortgaged) but I have been offered a position which will require us to move. We will probably have to rent first to see if we can find the right area - will this be possible as a lot of estate agents to credit checks.

Your IVA should not be showing on your credit file if the 6 year period from acceptance has passed, do have a look at all 3 credit reference agencies and get them tidied up and hopefully then you'll have no problem.
