Hi, my IVA is due to finish in November this year and I'm wondering if it will be possible to re-mortgage in the New Year and if so which companies offer mortgages to people who have had an IVA. As my mortgage will be reverting back to a repayment one in December I will actually be £130 a month worse off than I am in the IVA. I've spoken to my current mortgage provider and they won't help in any way. Thanks

Maybe towards the end of next year (depending upon how fast your certificate takes to be issued).

I would have a word with Ryan and / or Shaun, who are whole of market brokers experienced in the problems of the ex - IVA'er.

You can find their details under the "Ask a Question" tab ( top left) and scrolling down to the expert's details section.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Have a chat with Ryan and or Shaun ... i believe your credit record will need to be clear of all defaults etc before a mortgage may be approved ..the experts are the right people to give more definitive answer

Hi Sara,
This will depend if you are in a 5yr IVA or a 6yr. If you are on a 6yr them this might be something i can help you with.
Everybody's position is different, so would be best to discuss your personal circumstances directly if you can.
